Buddha Mudra

Mindfulness is an invitation to slow down and shift from the Doing to the Being mode. Allowing yourself to be in a place without pressure supported by the guidance of the course leaders and the presence of the group. Together we will explore how to rest in the very nature of your being, in what is sometimes called the natural state, original mind, pure awareness, no mind, or simply emptiness.

You will be introduced to simple methods to be more at ease with your feelings and disturbing thoughts. You will explore ways to me more relaxed with the challenges of stress, fear, sadness and insecurity. During the meetings there will be periods of shared silence, dialogs and simple, playful exercises.

Mindfulness and relationships

The emphasis is on how to bring this compassionate space into our daily life and our relationships. Mindfulness is a process of relationship. With yourself and with others. It starts with yourself, your body and mind, thoughts and feelings and then you bring this process into your relationships.

Mindfulness and the body

Mindfulness starts in the body. We tend to live a great deal of our lives in the mind. Or when we deal with our body our aim is often to control it. Make it stronger, thinner, bigger or better in some other way. Our meditation practice must start by bringing the awareness firmly back into the body.

As part of the course you learn mindful movements which bring your focus into the body, into the felt sense. This gesture allows the emotional and energetic process to unfold through the body. In this way transformation happens in an organic way.

Five things you get from doing less and noticing more:

  • – Less stress
  • – More joy
  • – Compassion with yourself and others
  • – Enhanced capacity to focus
  • – Tools to facilitate emotional alchemy

In between meetings you will receive recorded guided meditations and instructions for practicing in daily life. The course will help you to establish or renew a Mindfulness practice which suits your lifestyle without becoming an extra burden.
