SUMMARY:Complete! Radiant Mind
DESCRIPTION:We will continue our exploration of the direct path based on Peter Fenner’s book Radiant Mind. Radiant Mind arises when unconditioned awareness radiates through the totality of our conditioned existence. \n\n\n\nWhen we live in radiant mind\, we experience ourselves as a unique human being\, while at the same time resting in a unified expanse of centerless and boundless awareness. This state is called liberation\, buddhanature\, egolessness\, pure presence\, nondual wisdom\, our natural condition\, and effortless being. \n\n\n\nWe will only be meeting online\, via Zoom. \n\n\n\nThis is the fourth part of a series\, but you can join even if you were not at the previous teachings. Recordings of these teachings are available via a private Facebook group. \n\n\n\nUpon registration\, you will be invited into this Facebook group. \n\n\n\nSCHEDULE:6 Wednesdays 19:00 – 21:006th\, 20th September; 4th\, 18th October; 1st\, 22nd November \n\n\n\nPRICE:900 SK for members of Karma Yönten Ling\, 1100 SK for non-members \n\n\n\nPAYMENT METHOD:PayPal to mindfuldreaming@gmail.com or bank transfer (Stephan Wormland\, IBAN: DK8384010001045576\, SWIFT: MEKUDK21) \n\n\n\nREGISTRATION:write to Stephan Pende’s personal assistant (Kristen):stephanpende@gmail.com \n\n\n\nTEACHER:Stephan Pende Wormland\, MA in clinical psychology\, is trained in Gestalt therapy. SUMMARY:Beyond Mindfulness Drop-in Meditation
DESCRIPTION:I have been undergoing a transformational period and searching to deepen my practice. \n\n\n\nUnfortunately\, I must cancel these drop-in sessions. However\, this transitional process will enrich future teachings. \n\n\n\nFind deeper peace in challenging times\, discover meaning in uncertainty\, and address anxiety by relying on kindness. \n\n\n\nIn this course\, we will challenge ourselves to bring the wisdom of The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva into our own lives and relationships. This series will offer practical tools to awaken bodhichitta in daily life and meditations to deepen our experience of emptiness. \n\n\n\nThe 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva\, one of the most revered texts in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition\, was written by the tenth century Tibetan master Tokme Zongpo. Its inspiring verses convey the entire Mahayana path of compassion. It describes the practices and attitudes of the awakening rebel who wants to heal\, grow up\, and wake up for the benefit of all. \n\n\n\nRelating to traditional Buddhist practices and texts authentically can be difficult for us in the West. The texts are incredibly powerful but come from a different cultural context\, making it difficult to move beyond intellectual understanding and perfunctory repetition toward allowing them to touch our hearts and transform our lives as they are meant to. \n\n\n\nThe teachings are suitable for beginners and experienced students.Former Buddhist monk and psychotherapist Stephan Pende will share from his experience of 30 years practicing in different Buddhist traditions. \n\n\n\nJoin online or in person. Tickets are available for online attendance\, but no need to book if you plan to attend the session in person. \n\n\n\nTime: 7-9pm (CET)Price: 100 DK\, 80 DK for students and unemployedLocation: Nørregade 7A\, 2 sal. TV\, 1165 København\, Denmark \n\n\n\nTickets: https://www.fpmt.dk/courses \n\n\n\nStephan has been the resident teacher for FPMT’s Center for Wisdom and Compassion in Copenhagen for many years and currently teaches meditation in Buddhist Centers around Europe.

SUMMARY:Weekend Retreat with Stephan Pende
DESCRIPTION:I have been undergoing a transformational period and searching to deepen my practice. Unfortunately\, I must cancel this retreat. However\, this transitional process will enrich future teachings. \n\n\n\nJoin our long-awaited weekend retreat with Stephan Pende\, online or in person (Stockholm)! \n\n\n\nOn this weekend retreat\, we will explore the death process\, how to prepare for our death and how to support others on their journey. \n\n\n\nIt is difficult to accept the inevitability of our own deaths or the deaths of our loved ones. And although avoiding death is not possible\, it is possible to prepare for death and equip ourselves with tools to help those around us engage with their own deaths in the most beneficial way. \n\n\n\nHis Holiness the Dalai Lama says in ”Book of joy”: \n\n\n\n”The true measure of spiritual development is how one confronts one’s own mortality. The best way is when one is able to approach death with joy; next best way is without fear; third best way is at least not to have regrets.” \n\n\n\nStephan Pende will help us uncover our fears and ideas about death and impermanence and through teachings\, discussions\, and guided meditations we will explore how to live the life to die well. \n\n\n\nTEACHER \n\n\n\nStephan Pende is originally from Germany\, he has MA in clinical psychology and trained in Gestalt therapy. Stephan has studied and practiced meditation in multiple Buddhist traditions for over 30 years and has spent all together five years in meditation retreats. He was a monk in the Tibetan tradition for 11 years\, and teaches meditation in Buddhist centers in Europe. \n\n\n\nPRACTICAL INFORMATION AND HOW TO REGISTER \n\n\n\nLanguage: EnglishLocation: In person or online via Zoom. SUMMARY:How to See Yourself as You Really Are
DESCRIPTION:In his book How to See Yourself as You Really Are\, the Dalai Lama shares step-by-step personal advice for learning to see the world and ourselves as we actually exist\, without the overlay of false imagination. In words that are warm and clear\, the Dalai Lama shows his own personal path toward understanding: key ideas for reflection and essential phrases from Buddhist masters that hit him like a lightning bolt with the force of their meaning. \n\n\n\nThough it’s not obvious\, our minds are constantly constructing our realities. Rather than the neutral observers we take ourselves to be\, our minds assess objects with the view of how they might make us happy or how they could cause us pain. As a result\, we flit through the round of suffering as we open ourselves up to intense craving\, hatred\, and a multitude of other counterproductive emotions. This way of looking casts our worldview in an illusion that things exist inherently rather than as they truly do\, in interdependence. \n\n\n\nShantideva Center welcomes meditation teacher Stephan Pende as he leads an in-depth guided reading of this book–which is actually a tightly focused and clear program for meditation. The full series of 24 classes encompasses twelve weekends over the course of the year\, from January to December. Let this course by Stephan Pende serve as a framework for your personal meditation practice to this most beneficial aim: seeing yourself as you really are. \n\n\n\nSchedule:Sat and Sun\, 10:30am–12pm EST/EDT \n\n\n\nNote to participants in Europe:Due to daylight saving time\, the teachings will begin an hour earlier on Sunday.
