You will learn time-honored ways to experience and rest in your natural state of inner peace, the ultimate source of lasting happiness. The daily schedule includes Guided Meditation, Yin-Yoga, Sauna, Walking-meditation and lectures, which will create a supportive inner and outer environment where you can shift into an effortless state of rest.
On New Year’s eve, we lift the silence, there will be mindful dancing and a fire ritual that helps you to let go of unwholesome patterns and heal experiences of the last year which are unresolved.
You will be introduced to simple methods to be more at ease with your feelings and disturbing thoughts. We are exploring ways to be more relaxed with the challenges of stress, fear, sadness, and insecurity.
The retreat is a silent retreat and sitting, moving, lectures, breaks, Yin yoga, and Karma yoga will alternate in a balanced way. You don’t need to have any previous meditation or yoga experience to participate. All teachings will be in English.

Place: Tåkerns hostel and café is located in beautiful surroundings by the Lake Tåkern between Ödeshög and Vadstena. A sauna with a view of the lake is available.
Price: including food, lodging, and teaching: 5 200 skr. Payment is required before 31/11-2019. (4800 skr for retired, students or unemployed)
Food & Accommodation: Vegetarian food, the accommodation is in 2-4 bedrooms.
A few single rooms can be arranged at an additional cost.
Participating in a retreat can be intense. Participants are asked to be firmly grounded and have the ability to take personal responsibility. One should have a fairly stable mental balance and participants attending should be able to take personal responsibility for their own experiences.
This retreat is not designed as a substitute for psychotherapeutic work.

Stephan Pende Wormland, MA in clinical psychology, is trained in Gestalt therapy. He has studied and practiced meditation in multiple Buddhist traditions for over 30 years and spent 5 years in meditation retreats. Stephan was a monk in the Tibetan tradition for 11 years and teaches meditation in Buddhist centers in Europe.
Ulrika Säljeby, certified yoga alliance yoga teacher in Hatha- and yin yoga. Ulrika is running the yoga studio Yogaro in Vadstena since 2013. She has been practicing yoga and meditation since 1995.
