Online Retreat – Foundations of Buddhist practice 21 – 28 June 2020
Welcome to an online meditation retreat with Stephan Pende Wormland, arranged by Föreningen för tibetansk buddhism i Göteborg (FFTB). Participating in this retreat is a powerful way to explore and deepen your meditation practice, recharge your batteries, and meet yourself.
There will also be a daily yoga session led by Helen Persson. You don’t need any experience with yoga. Everyone can participate. You will also get an mp3 file from Helen with a yoga nidra deep relaxation practice to do when you want.
The schedule has plenty of breaks, which makes it possible for your own reflections, go on walks, etc. There will be space for questions and discussions during the meditation sessions.
It is only possible to register for the whole retreat. We will use the Zoom video conferencing app. The link will be sent to you. The retreat is suitable for beginners who are interested in Buddhist meditation but experienced students will benefit as well. The teachings and guided practices are based on the book series “Foundation of Buddhist Thought” by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Venerable Thubten Chodron.

ABOUT STEPHAN PENDE WORMLAND
Born 1965 in Germany, MA in clinical psychology, and trained in Gestalt therapy. He is a very experienced teacher: he has studied and practiced meditation in multiple Buddhist traditions for over 30 years and has spent altogether 5 years in meditation retreats. He was a monk in the Tibetan tradition for 11 years and teaches meditation in Buddhist centers in Europe. Stephan has been teaching regularly at FFTB 3 to 5 times a year since 2008. www.stephanpende.com
ABOUT HELEN PERSSON
Helen has practiced yoga since 1994 and been teaching since 2003 including at FFTB:s recurrent summer retreats with Stephan Pende since 2009.

18.00-19.30 Introduction and meditation
Monday morning at 6:30 there will the option to take the 8 Mahayana precepts for the duration of the retreat.
07.00 – 07.30 morning meditation
07.45 – 09.00 soft morning yoga with Helen
09.00 – 10.00 breakfast
10.00 – 11.30 teaching + meditation
11.30 – 15.00 slow walk, sky-gazing or resting in nature and lunch
15.00 – 16.00 teaching + meditation instructions for meditation on your own
16.15 – 16.30 pause
16.30 – 17.15 meditation practice on your own
17.15 – 19.30 dinner + resting
19.30 – 21:00 Prajna Paramita practice and questions
Sunday 28th – we end by midday – before lunch.
